do i need a tow bar?
No, we use our own trailers and our own vehicles.
How much does it cost?
The tipping fee for the trailer load of green waste shown on the home page picture was $59 in 2019 and our fee was only $55 including all the travel and loading the trailer ourselves.
Can you leave the trailer at my house?
Unfortunately not, we need the trailer for other jobs plus some trailers have been known to disappear.
Can you deliver firewood?
Yes, although due to the weight we can not fill the trailer to the top.
Do you take hazardous waste?
We can't take hazardous waste or polystyrene but we can take car batteries.
When do I pay?
We will send you an invoice towards the end or shortly after the job.
who loads the trailer?
We will load, or help load, the trailer and the first 15 mins loading is free, although there is an extra charge for over 15 mins for things like soil and garden waste etc that take a lot of time to load.
Will the driver be on his own?
Yes, so please help the driver if he needs a lift with something or arrange a second person to help.
how much does it cost at the local tip?
All tips have their own pricing, plus different types of waste are charged differently. Green waste can start at a minimum charge of $22 a trailer and general rubbish is a minimum of $28 a trailer, prices valid May 2019 at Constellation Drive. It is based on weight so drier garden waste is much cheaper.
Do you take bamboo, flax and soil?
Yes, although all 3 of these items are classed as general rubbish and not green waste.
can you take mixed loads?
Yes, although there is a minimum tipping charge for general rubbish and a minimum for green waste so if it is mixed you will get charged at the higher general waste price. It is always cheaper and easier to not mix the waste types if you can avoid it.
Can you transport a car or motorbike?
We only use 8ft x 4ft caged trailers, or similar sizes, so no cars, the trailers are big enough for a motorbike but we do not carry ramps.
Are you only available on the north shore?
For now yes, although we may branch out later. The destination address can be outside of the North Shore but we prefer to not travel too far or we may have to charge a bit extra for our trip back.
